	Lying to go to war "The Federal Government was warned repeatedly by intelligence analysts before the Iraq war that the conflict would harm the war on terrorism by fanning Islamic extremism and spurring terrorist recruiting. John Howard and his senior colleagues were briefed on the dangers, verbally and in written reports. Yet the Prime Minister told Australians on the eve of the conflict that the war would lessen the terrorist threat, contradicting his intelligence advice."
	Refusing to count the cost of war " It is inexcusable to pretend we can wage a war without cost, as the Howard Government is trying to do. And it is inexcusable to take our nation to war based on a lie, as the Howard Government did. This government didn’t have the strength to say no to the United States nor the integrity to tell Australians why we were going to war."
	The treatment of refugees & migrants "Georgiou, a former adviser to Malcolm Fraser, has stepped up his criticism, pointing out that rapists are often incarcerated for shorter periods than asylum seekers."
	The treatment of Aborigines "John Howard and his ministry should, as a matter of compulsion, take the first opportunity to see and discuss the movie Rabbit-Proof Fence. And, not just because of this movie, they should then immediately say 'Sorry!' along with, and on behalf of, the rest of us."
